However, when she was a teenager Lucy’s powers were zapped away by an electrical surge, leaving her with the ability to find lost objects but not match lovers. Following her father’s heart attack, Lucy is left to hold down the fort on the family business of helping clients find their true love. A new client leads Lucy to searching for a lost ring and a lost child while seeing flashes of a new relationship of her own with the sexy PI upstairs. This book was a welcome bit of fluff for a winter’s night. This series really has potential. I was a little disappointed in this particular story because I guessed a major plot point early on but thought it was an oversight, so spent most of the story puzzled about not having that rather obvious (to me) answer addressed. In hindsight, though, this might have just been one of the rare times that I figured out the key twist in the mystery early on and, being unfamiliar with this phenomenon, thought it must be a mistake. That said, the characters are fun and engaging and the supernatural twist is a creative one. I'll definitely check out the next in the series! Truly, Madly has all the good stuff, a modest heroine, a little paranormal (not enough to be scary), fun characters, hunky guys, a good story and a relatively happy ending. Can't wait for the next one! This was a surprisingly entertaining, light read. I was definately pleasantly surprised that this story was able to hold my attention. It is a very quick easy read. The characters are likable and well developed. The story line has just enough mystery, romance and suspense to make it a page turner. I fully enjoyed it and actually found myself looking forward to the next installment. If you are looking for earth shattering or mind blowing I would pass on this. but if youare looking for light and entertaining, maybe as an in-between read I would definately pick this up. no reviews | add a review

Lucy is the only descendant of a line of matchmakers, and as she lost the secret talent for reading auras that has brought the Valentines much fame and wealth in their matchmaking business, she's tried practically every career other than matchmaker.
When a health scare and scandal give Lucy's father a reason to take an extended vacation, he bullies Lucy into running the business for a few weeks. She does so reluctantly and with lots of nervousness - her psychic talent for finding lost things is unlikely to be an aid in matchmaking.
What she discovers it *is* useful for is tracking down a long-lost love, a missing boy, and - oh, yeah - a dead body...
Lucy is a charming, independent character, with a sense of humor that runs to self-deprecating. Her family and friends are fun, though only a few are seen much. Lucy's love interest, the upstairs P.I.'s younger brother, is super hot, and I'm planning to check out the next in the series for him alone, though I look forward to finding out more about Lucy's two best friends and the male possibilities in their lives!
