About meI was one of those bookworm kids, always with my head in a book and although as an adult, life gets in the way a bit more, I haven't really changed all that much!

My 999 challenge: http://www.librarything.com/topic/53089

About my libraryThese are books I own or have owned. An increasing amount are being exchanged on swapping websites but I keep my favourites. I have star rated books I've read recently. If I haven't rated it it is because I haven't read it or I read it too long ago to trust my memory of it. ETA I have now started including books I have read but have never owned.

My main passion is women's fiction but I am also interested in astrology, psychology and buddhism so have books on these too. Sometimes I think I should be more Zen and meditate instead of read but it never lasts very long!

I haven't read Carol Birch yet, but I have 4 books by her. I would have looked at any book published by Virago. There's a bargain bookshop in Cambridge which had an everything £1 basement the last few times we visited and there was some really good stuff in there. Sadly I don't know when we're likely to get there again - we used to meet my boyfriend's mum there but she's now in residential care and also we have two children now.
Thanks, although now we are moving to a smaller house I am panicking slightly about where to put them all! I find my downfall is Bookmooch, I gave away 260 but got 420 sent to me and those 420 have all stayed. My husband doesnt really read very much but thankfully is extremely patient and tolerant-probably because buying me presents is incredibly easy.

We have lived in colchester for a year now and I have to say I love it, I'm hoping to stay here for at least 4/5 years especially as my oldest has now started school. I take my daughter to the library at least twice a week and we often pop in for a story whilst we are shopping, they have nice comfortable sofas in the children's library and as I carry my son around in a sling its a good place to stop off for a rest.

I'm going to have a look at your library in a bit for books to add to my wish list.
